Maintenance Technician
Natural Retreats is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our 360 Blue team in Cape San Blas, FL! This full-time position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the homes in the Cape San Blas area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assist in overseeing the operation of the Cape San Blas portfolio of homes
Perform diversified duties to troubleshoot and maintain core home systems (i.e. HVAC, pool service, lock installation, septic systems, plumbing, electric, radiant heating systems, mechanics, etc.) in addition to the following:
- Basic repairs to interior and exterior home aesthetics (i.e. painting, dry wall repair, basic construction, etc.)
- Move equipment, appliances, furniture, etc.
- Hot tub servicing
- Remove items from home for disposal
- Maintain lawn, walkways, driveways, etc.
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Pick up trash
- Perform regular preventative maintenance in homes
- Perform a variety of plumbing, maintenance, and carpentry functions
- Assist housekeeping when needed
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to homes and perform scheduled maintenance repairs
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments
Perform regular preventive maintenance in homes and properties
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
Maintain details records of service performed in all units, according to the daily timesheet
- Provide emergency on-call coverage

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Basic knowledge of audio/visual, electrical, plumbing, mechanics, and appliance repair
- Proficiency in technology such as cell phones and basic computer skills
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge of internet routers
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record and 3+ years of driving experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing which may include drug testing and/or background screening
- Basic organizational skills to effectively record and catalogue documents on work performed
- Proactive and flexible in approach to job duties and problem-solving
- Effective oral and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
DESIRED
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge of internet routers
- HVAC Certification
- Experience in the hospitality industry and/or with a growing company
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Due to the nature of the job, the Maintenance Technician should be flexible with their hours. Weekends and holidays are required and will generally be busy and considered working days with guest arrivals and departures although these can be covered on request and approval of the General Manager. We encourage all of our Team Members to take 2 days off per week where possible. Guests can arrive at unpredictable times, and the Maintenance Technician should always be available in case of emergency, which includes evenings and on-call hours. Generally, this means working some inconsistent hours. Exact daily schedule may vary and differ from in-season to off-season. Vacation is generally taken out of peak season.
