Natural Retreats is hiring a Revenue Manager to join our team! The Revenue Manager will drive revenue across all Natural Retreats locations, maximizing the potential yield on a per-home basis, resulting in maximum profitability for both Natural Retreats and homeowners.

Reporting to the Director of Revenue and Analytics, your key focus will be collaboration with other members of the Revenue Management and Analytics department to develop and implement long and short-term strategies that align with the company’s overall business strategy and direction. Daily management of rates and pricing operations, procedures, and best practices will include tasks such as: providing daily, weekly, and monthly reporting; conducting regular and ad hoc rate and/or availability shops and thorough analysis; onboarding new homes and retreats in the property management system; performing competitive benchmark studies; conducting regular revenue calls; and keeping abreast of market trends.

A successful Revenue Manager will be confident in a fast paced environment, have an exceptional eye for detail, and have a passion for the hospitality industry.

COMPENSATION:
Starting salary is $70,000 annually. Final compensation will be commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Work collaboratively with marketing, distribution, and other revenue managers to develop an effective and scalable Sales and Marketing function for Natural Retreats.
  • Become an expert user of our property management system and pricing software and apply these skills to accurately update and maintain rates and restrictions for all channels.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as requested/scheduled.
  • Foster a data-driven culture.
  • Work with other central office departments (e.g., Guest Experience, Global Technology, Finance) to improve NRES system functionality and reporting, to ultimately drive the efficiencies of revenue management.
  • Ensure all communication and messaging (verbal, email, implied, etc.) aligns with Natural Retreat’s brand direction and strategy and supports interdepartmental cooperation.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities. 
  • Create and develop pricing strategies on a destination and property level.
  • Complete 90 day forecast monthly and track progress against forecast weekly.
  • Troubleshoot property management system issues related to rates, restrictions, and inventory.
  • Complete weekly marketing document, populating all associated fields (HOC, promotions, new homes, events, LOS adjustments, rate adjustments, etc.).
  • In conjunction with marketing, create needed promotions and discount codes.
  • Build NRES extras related to rates and fees as needed.
  • Update tax information as directed by Finance.
  • Conduct or assign data-gathering portion of ad hoc rate audits.
  • Conduct or assign scheduled and ad hoc availability and rate shops.
  • Conduct or assign day-to-day yield operations (e.g., Pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments, reporting, etc.) and monitor market movement to inform necessary pricing strategy adjustments.
  • Perform competitive benchmark studies and keep abreast of market trends.
  • Reduce the cost of distribution by finding new, less expensive means of delivering business and/or shiftingsales channel production to direct.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in revenue management, data analysis, pricing, etc.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel and additional ability to learn and excel at new software programs
  • General understanding of statistics
  • Sound ability and knowledge to develop standards of operations and strategic processes
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communications to multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Ability to prioritize revenue generating actions over time-consuming tasks with low yield impact
  • Ability to manage and prioritize required outcomes to meet deadlines in a past faced environment demonstrated by the following:
    • Good listening skills
    • The ability to anticipate business needs
    • Advanced organizational skills
    • Capacity to read situations, understand environments, and respond accordingly
    • Impeccable problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Must demonstrate a high level of motivation, determination and commitment

  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing which may include drug testing and/or background screening


POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time position eligible for remote work. Natural Retreats’ core business hours for our support offices are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasionally, project work or other responsibilities may require the Team Member to work outside of this schedule.
